I did however sit down and watch the show yesterday, and to answer your question, I was sure that I'm going to have a heart attack.
However, paranoia aside, I fully enjoyed his show. It was right up my alley. I'm going to go over in greater depth everything that discussed. I just don't feel like he explained in enough detail on the benefits his topic has on an everyday life.
Belly fat has become a huge issue, not because of the outward look but because of the significance it has on your health. If you are one of the unfortunate folks that carries fat around the stomach also known as visceral fat, you likely have come to know that it signifies higher likely hood of future heart complications.
So, Dr. Oz put together combinations that helped to enable and speed fat loss. Vitamin C combined with a monounsaturated fat is successful for many reasons. We have touched on good fats before and have the understanding that it takes fat to burn fat. However, vitamin C, which we have discussed as an antioxidant, ramps up fat burning during exercise by a whopping 30%! that's huge!
In addition to fat burning, it also helps to manage blood sugar levels. Which as we know when that's under control it helps to prevent weight gain. A deficiency in vitamin C could slow the metabolism so receiving adequate amounts of Vit C could get your metabolism back on track and instigate weight loss.
Cortisol, the body's stress hormone is infamous for weight gain. It also slows the metabolism. So you can understand how Vitamin C comes into the bigger picture. It maintain the immune system, lowers cortisol and maintains blood sugar levels.
The meal suggested by Dr. Oz...or combination. Was orange and avacado. I was skeptical at first. I myself usually only like avacado cooked. But I took the suggestion, of orange, avacado with a touch of pepper. With a raised eyebrow, I looked at this dish in a questionable manner. However, i took the plunge and low and behold I loved it! Holy cow batman! it was absolutely delicious.....I give it a 2 thumbs up!
