However, on this cleverly created and all so realistic show there was a mother of three. My heart went out to this woman. After her children were born she became rather self loathing. I think it's rather important to reach out to the mothers out there.
We all know how fitness changed my life.....blah blah blah.....same ol same ol. There comes a point with mothers that after a certain amount of time we stop trying....defeated, discouraged etc. The thought of my husband found me sexy then, why would he now may tend to crawl around your head.....STOP IT!!! Not a welcomed thought at all.
For one second I want you to close your eyes, picture no husband, no kids, no responsibilities. What would you be doing, everything you could to make yourself look good and feel good. If they were gone for a weekend and you could pamper yourself without any guilt.....what would you do? An uninterrupted bath? followed by a mani, pedi, new outfit, hair do? When you have finished going above and beyond to feel amazing inside and out. You then go home to your family, all of a sudden you have energy, pep in your step! Your absolutely glowing! A completely different you! and all it took was about 72 hours of your time.
Now I want you to stop and think what if you could have that same energy, same pep every single day. You would tell me I'm crazy. Well here's were your wrong. a weekend like that would cost you anywhere from $500-2000. A personal trainer would cost you $1800 for 72 hours at $25/per hour. That trainer will be with you for 6 months, and the effects will last a lifetime..
Now stop choking on your coffee or whatever it is you have. Nobody needs to fork out 1800. I can't speak for every trainer we charge 250/10 sessions, because it just makes it an easy deal for us to keep track of. Starting to ramble.......
Now stop making up excuses, yes we have heard them all. There's no time, there is always time. We're not asking for 24 hours a day for 7 days a week, we're asking for 1 hour a day for 2-3 times a week. You can't scramble up, worst case scenario 3 hours a week? Let me tell you about Rose: Rose has a very full schedule, scattered 40 hour a week for her job, a toddler and a six year old who participates in various extra curricular activities, she wanted to continue boot camp however everything fell on the same night, what do I do with my six year old? I could see she wanted to come bad, so I said "bring her," another mom piped up and offered to bring her daughter, me having four kids I invited them as well. So I made up a separate plan for the kids and the moms. Both remained separate and both had their own time. I want every mom out there to understand that I don't want you to feel inadequate or displaced because there is a part of you that evolved.....not changed, not got lost but evolved. I want you to understand that your not alone. There are so many out there that are feeling the same way....we are all there to support one another and help one another. There is always a solution to every excuse....even where money is concerned......one large double double at Tim Hortons is $1.80, the average fitness class is $12-15. Just swapping something to seemingly small can make a huge impact on your day to day.
I have a few more mom stories that I will share tomorrow....yes I know 2 blogs in a row....but I'm gonna leave you with that to think about for now. For the record, there are more then willing husbands out there who want to see you smile again. Not for the reasons your thinking, but because they miss you too!
